We currently have an opportunity based out of our Fort. St. John office for an individual interested in the blended responsibilities of a Geomatics Technician and Crew Chief. This position will work in both field and office capacity dependent on work volumes.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Performing oilfield and pipeline construction and all other types of field surveying, Process field data, perform computations and plan checking , Perform Project Management related duties, as requested
Minimum 5 years of surveying experience in the field, post-secondary training in geomatics is preferred, Ability to operate total stations, robotics and Trimble GPS skillfully, Proficient in survey software including MicroSurvey and Trimble Business Centre, working knowledge of CAD would be beneficial

Good communication skills and a strong sense of professionalism, Strong mathematical and computer operating skills; and Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Travel out of town will be required. You must be physically able to perform the requirements of the job and be willing to work in all types of weather conditions. Safety training (i.e. CSTS, First Aid, WHMIS, etc.) is required and will be provided as necessary. Candidates should be prepared to comply with our drug and alcohol policy, which includes screening.
