Reporting to the Production Unit Manager, the Production Unit Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of production for his/her unit. The incumbent is responsible for sustaining work process and unit performance and for the development of the front line leadership in Plant Operations. The Production Unit Supervisor is also the focal point for the daily technical assurance of their Unit
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the development and performance of the Front Line Leaders in his/her unit
- Responsible for the establishment of FLL performance standards
- Responsible for the development of FLL members to the performance standards
- Manages and tracks overtime
- Accountable for sustaining the production work processes over time
- Implementation of new initiatives associated to Plant Operations
- Accountable for all aspects of operations on his/her units including:
- HSSE (Compliance & Barriers, Reviews, Investigations)
- Validation of Management of Abnormal Situations including impacted stakeholder communication
- Process Reliability and Optimization
- Effective and efficient operations (Compliance to daily schedule, Product Quality, Cost Control)
- Ensures Production procedures are accurate
Requirements:
- Preference given to a 1st Class Power Engineering Certificate. Would consider a 2nd Class Power engineer with signifigant (10 years) supervisory experience
- 10+ Years of power engineering operational and troubleshooting experience.
- 5+ years experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead in an operating plant.
- Proven technical knowledge of Utility Operations and all associated equipment.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a flexible team environment
- Knowledge of Alberta Boiler Safety Codes, OH&S Code, and ERCB regulations.
- Willingness to work in a setting that cultivates a cohesive team approach to plant operations and maintenance.
