Position Summary:

Enerflex is seeking a Gas Compression Project Engineer for the Gas Compression Group.

Definition – Develops the technical project design in the form of drawings, bills of materials, operation narratives and IOM in accordance with company standards, project proposals, specifications and customer input.

Education

• Engineering or Engineering Technology degree or equivalent background

Previous Assignments

• Engineer (4 yrs)

Qualifications

• Strong and analytical problem solving skills
• Capability of synthesis of complex problems.

• Excellent customers oriented Skills (communicator, explainer, negotiator)
• Solid IT Skills
• Solid Knowledge of the main products:

 - Instrumentation control

 - Chemical Process

 - Mechanical Design

Responsibilities

Technical Interface with Customer

• Identify customers requirement (technical/products problems, execution issues) and bring effective solutions
• Attend customer meetings (kick off, coordination, HAZOP etc.)
• Coordinate technical issues with Customer (Technical clarification, answer technical comments, deviation requests)

Leads internal design activities and technical decisions

• Develop P&ID
• Participate in all aspects of design review with project team
• Ensure proper understanding of technical Customer needs inside Enerflex
• Generate Engineered Bill of Material for assigned project

Leads the Quality Assurance program for the Enerflex designed products

• Ensure accuracy of job quality requirements
• Perform P&ID walkdown of final package to ensure compliance with design

Owns the planning of engineering activities

• Manage and schedule dwg list submitted to Customers
• Follow up on technical issues thru shipment and commissioning as needed
• Manage and control  engineering hours allocated to the job
• Support the correct scheduling and monitor the progress of vendor drawings

Support and interface other Company Functions

• Project Management: Report on engineering issues and progress, drawing/deliverable status
• Purchasing: Technical interface with suppliers
• Manufacturing: Technical issue management
• Testing : Test specifications, test attendance
• Service: Support to Site activities for installation, commissioning and startup
